Political Specialist on RESULTS Sydney Core Team

If you enjoy speaking with politicians, creating great relationships with MPs and working with them to create solutions this is the role for you. As the Political specialist you will have the chance to meet with many politicians about RESULTS key priority campaigns such as  ending infectious disease eg TB, or Australia’s role in eradicating extreme poverty in the world .

You will add to the core organising team as the organiser for MP meetings, the go-to person for the Team Member to ask questions about their MPs and will help with political engaging and training sessions.

If you have a keen interest in civic participation, the belief of democracy works best when everyday people engaged in the political discourse and the willingness to get hands-on, this is the role for you!

What we’re looking for:

Someone passionate about ending poverty, and committed to taking action to build the political will to end poverty. A “people person”, who is excellent at building relationships and who loves to inspire, develop and motivate others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organisation and time management skills. If: You love creating something that encourages efficiency and ensures high-quality results. You have a creative mindset and are willing to experiment, fail fast and fail often. You love solving problems, big and small, and are relentless in getting to solutions.
