Join the Volunteers at Midwest Disaster Relief in assisting to meet people at their point of need with household items at low cost. Donated linen needs to be sorted to ensure that people who shop at MDR are getting a decent product. The linen is sorted into three piles (1) good quality which can be sold is bagged up and priced; (2) good but needs attention like washing or mending which is given away for free and (3) linen which is only suitable for rags. If you are available for a morning or more a week from 9am - 12pm and are physically capable of repetitive movements, standing up for periods at a time and some lifting (not heavy), then please express your interest in this role which is very valued by the MDR team.
