Social Media Coordinator

DonateDirect is an exciting organisation which helps get donations from the community (essential household items) DIRECTLY to people in need (see profile).

There have been hundreds of amazing stories about how receiving a donation through DonateDirect has impacted on the lives of disadvantaged people in a positive way, providing them with basic essentials and improving their self-esteem and dignity.

DonateDirect would like to expand its social media presence to tell these amazing stories as a way of thanking our donors, and also to inspire others in the community to donate and to feel a part of what we're doing.

As a social media volunteer key duties would include: - developing and listing weekly posts on social media about DonateDirect activities; - expanding our social media presence; - creating monthly newsletters for donors and community organisations - evaluating social media presence

Skills include in-depth knowledge of a range of social media platforms; knowledge of how to acquire and manipulate images; ability to work with mail merge programs (eg., mail chimp; hubspot).  Prior experience in social media or marketing capacity would be an advantage.

As a volunteer you would have the experiencing of telling some really great stories and being a part of a growing organisation.  You would be making an impact by getting the word out and helping to expand our modal of giving throughout the community.
