The Kokoda Challenge Melbourne is a hiking and endurance event that will take place in the Dandenong Ranges.

The aim of the community sporting event is to generate awareness about the Kokoda campaign of 1942 and raise funds for the Kokoda Youth Foundation programs.

We require volunteers to help us at the Start/Finish village at Ferntree Gully and at the various checkpoint locations on the 5-6 October 2019. Apply to find out more information on specific shift times, duties and tasks.

Experience in events, operations, logistics and administration would be highly regarded but not essential.

KYF is a registered charity and Public Benevolent Institution, relying on fundraising, volunteer support, sponsorship and government funding. The bulk of our funding comes from the fundraising efforts of our Kokoda Challenge Events participants; particularly from 'The Kokoda Challenge', the 96 kilometre event held on the Gold Coast each year. Our participants support KYF, supporting young Australians. The Spirit of Kokoda demonstrates that when we work together, look out for each other and show commitment to a task, things that at first seem impossible suddenly become achievable.

We could not do the event without our fabulous volunteers, so thank you for considering the Kokoda Challenge!
