This volunteer position would be responsible for taking incoming phone calls (or re-directed email enquiries) from members of the public or nursing homes / aged care or disability care centres wanting to book passengers in for a free ride on our specially designed trishaws. We can provide a pre-paid mobile to this person, or simply forward the booking phone number to their personal mobile number if they prefer not to use two separate phones.

They would be provided a standard “blurb” of what the organization is all about, our locations, our requirements for passengers etc. They would be trained to answer queries or given other contacts to forward them to if in doubt. Duties include: • Welcoming and providing general info about what CWAA can offer • Determining the best location and availability of a ride suited to that passenger and the availability of ride location / pilots • Recording the required details in an electronic system called SignUp • Emailing a standard confirmation with required details • Adding their details to membership database if agreed

You will become part of a local community who come from a variety of backgrounds all seeking the same intention to allow inclusivity of those who might be at risk of social isolation. THIS ROLE CAN BE DONE BY A VOLUNTEER AT HOME BUT WOULD JUST REQUIRE THEM TO BE COMPUTER LITERATE AND HAVE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER.
