Inclusion Melbourne is one of the providers of the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS), funded by the Australian Government. Our Volunteers visit recipients in their home and provide companionship and friendship and reduce the effects of isolation.

We are currently looking for a friendly visitor for a lovely gentleman who is residing at home and is vision impaired. He would love to have a visitor during the weekends to go out for a bit of a walk.

Volunteer visitors may share stories, go for a stroll, listen to music or play a game. As a CVS volunteer you play a vital role in improving the quality of life of the person through ongoing companionship.

Competencies:

Warmth, a caring attitude, empathy, good communication skills . Reliability and a willingness to commit to at least fortnightly visits for a minimum of 12 months is important.
