Community Transport

    • National Police Certificate *

    An annual national police certificate is required, at no cost for our volunteers.
    Due to insurance requirements drivers will need to be over 25 years of age with at least 2 years of driving experience.
    Please Note: As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the level of coverage for volunteers due to various restrictions to ensure they are covered for the roles they will be undertaking.

Volunteer transport operates Monday to Friday from approx. 8:45-4pm using Launceston VFC vehicles. Transport is provided in the local Launceston area to clients who would otherwise have difficulty getting around. Drivers must be able to work off a runsheet, receipt client fees, take direction from office staff, assist with mobility aids & if required assist to carry client's groceries & other items into the car & their home. Volunteers are provided with an induction, buddy shifts with an existing driver & ongoing support from our team.
