Visiting or shopping for clients

Volunteers must be reliable, accountable, trustworthy, and committed to the program. Enjoy interacting with people, able to take direction from office staff, receipt client fees and handle cash transactions. Volunteers are matched with a client, given a job statement, and provide the required support to the client. Shopping on behalf of clients involves going to their home, collecting their shopping list and money, doing their shopping then returning it to them. Visiting clients involves providing companionship, and general meaningful interaction in their home. Volunteers are provided with an induction, and ongoing support from our team.
