Adult Literacy Volunteer Tutors
Logan City CouncilLogan City Council Libraries require people with teaching or tutoring experience to assist library clients to improve their literacy skills and/or their English language proficiency.
Tutors are needed to work with clients at the following Logan City Council library locations:
• Logan Central Library (Woodridge), • Logan North Library (Underwood), • Logan West Library (Browns Plains); and • Marsden Library
Adult Literacy Volunteer Tutors are partnered with people in the community who need to improve their reading, writing, listening and/or speaking skills. Adult literacy sessions are one-on-one and take place within a Logan library during opening hours.
The Adult Literacy Tutoring Program has done much to improve the opportunities for those within the Logan community who have been held back due to pressing literacy needs.
Adult Literacy Volunteer Tutors are currently in high demand. Our tutors find the significance difference they can make in the lives of their clients extremely rewarding.
Library staff can assist tutors with access to and/or purchase of, appropriate learning materials for individual clients.
Adult literacy tuition at Logan City Council Libraries is offered to clients free of charge.
