Our Animal Presentation Precinct team are looking for a Volunteer to support Tarongas Bird Show, Backyard 2 Bush and Marine Mammals teams with their varied and interesting administration duties!

This role may encompass anything from minute taking in meetings, animal observations, data entry, developing spreadsheets and assisting zoo keepers with record keeping.

This role will work with a diverse group of zoo keepers and individuals passionate about conservation. For the successful candidate this role will open up many  opportunities to learn about and become involved in a leading conservation organisation.

The purpose of the role is to:

The Animal Presentation Precinct (APP)Administration Volunteer will support the APP Team with tasks such as filing, data entry, editing, printing and scanning documents and providing general day to day support with the wide variety of tasks that fall to the Animal Presentation Precinct staff.

Position details

This role is available Wednesdays fortnightly - 8:30am-3:00pm (Mon, Tue or Thu may be considered for the right candidate) This position requires a commitment of 12 months’ minimum All Taronga Volunteers are required to complete eLearning and induction.

Selection criteria

To be successful in this role you will need to address the following requirements:

• Enjoy working with people and work well aspart of a team
• Commitment, punctuality, reliability and a professional, friendly manner
• Be able to maintain accuracy and motivation with repetitive tasks·
• Computer skills and administrative experience advantageous

Please note:This role will have no direct animal contact.
