No formal qualification required, however this role would suit someone who has attention to detail and loves to organize! Ability to communicate well, with clear and concise detail. Any previous experience with event planning would be desired but not necessary if they have a passion to get involved and join our amazing community of volunteers.
* May be arranged via the Organisation. Details to be provided on expression of interest.
Working alongside the team, they would assist by: • Researching and identifying potential events including costs and logistics required • Proposing these to the committee for approval • If agreed, populating in team calendars and coordinating all planning • Being a key liaison for all information regarding that event • Reporting back to committee on progress / outcomes of event and a brief analysis of cost/benefit
We have a few major events planned for the second half of this year and into the next, such as: • Participation in the WA Pride Parade • Australian Summit for CWAA (which is also open to international guest speakers) • Anzac Day Parade
The volunteer would be part of a wider network of volunteers within the CWAA community which embody active citizenship. The rewards of seeing the benefits to the community are priceless, especially considering the positive benefits to their own physical and mental health as well as creating new friendships along the way!
