Connecting Koala Habitat at Figtree Bend

Conservation Volunteers Australia
Logo for Conservation Volunteers Australia

Conservation Volunteers Australia is partnering with landholders and community volunteers in the Lismore area to restore degraded pasture through revegetation with locally native tubestock. This project is an important part of our Connecting Koala Habitat program which, with assistance and support from dedicated rural landholders and funding from The Australian Government’s 20 Million Trees Program (part of the National Landcare Program) aims to improve and link koala habitat between local farms. We are aiming to plant 10,000 trees by 2020. The sites have been prepared and holes have been dug ensuring easy planting sessions, and extra helping hands are always welcome! Team leader tip: This location is a haven for bird lovers!
