Volunteer Marketing Coordinator

The Victorian Indigenous Nurseries Co-operative (VINC) is a member-based, not-for-profit nursery located in Fairfield. The dedicated staff at VINC collect seeds, propagate a wide variety of local species and supply these native plants to schools, local councils, community groups, landscape gardeners and individuals.

To support VINC’s growth, we are looking for a volunteer Marketing Coordinator for 3-4 hours per week to develop and implement a marketing program for the coming 6-12 months. This is a newly created role and will provide the right applicant with a great opportunity to drive our marketing activities in partnership with our passionate team.

The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for:·

  • Working with VINC’s management team to identifying marketing opportunities
  • Creating a marketing plan
  • Making recommendations to VINC’s management team
  • Delivering marketing activities, which could include coordinating promotion of nursery sales and member drives, email marketing, planning and creating relevant content, social media, and other activities
  • Assisting VINC team members to develop website content and keeping that content up to date

We are looking for someone:

  • Who has or is currently completing a marketing and/or communications degree ·      With a passion for our natural environment
  • Who has a positive, can-do attitude and who can autonomously lead, design and deliver the marketing plan.

  • Exposure to the commercial and governance aspects of a small non-for-profit

The nursery is located in Fairfield but you are not expected to work from the nursery all the time. The role is flexible, so the successful candidate can work at the nursery when needed (especially when you need to liaise with VINC staff) but some work can also be done from home.
