Come nature spotlighting in Western Sydney with some conservation nightowls!

Bartolo Nature Reserve and Lononderry Reserve form part of a critical 'Green Corridor' for native wildlife. These Reserves provide important habitat for species such as the Eastern Grey Kangaroo and Bearded Dragons to move about, and to find food and shelter. Even more importantly, these Reserves are a remnant of critically endangered Cumberland Plain Woodland and home to several threatened species.

Join in locals and our experienced ecologists for a few hours to participate in a session of night-time spotlighting. We often work at these sites with in the daytime, so we are still relatively unsure of what kinds of species come out at night! Your efforts will help us to understand what types of night-time species are present on our worksite and allow us to assess how effective our restoration work has been.

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER:

  • Make sure you book your spot online. Spaces are limited, and they do fill up!
  • We offer a free pick and drop off at Penrith Station for this project.
  • No previous experience is required. We will provide you with all the know-how on site!
  • We can provide you with a certificate of appreciation for coming along and helping out (this looks great on a resume!)
You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
