Multiple Sclerosis is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.

We have many delightful residents from all backgrounds and living in Canberra who would greatly benefit from your friendship. Our residents would really enjoy the company of a friendly companion who is willing to sit and have a coffee and a chat, read local paper or go for a walk in the garden.

You need to be warm, caring, reliable and willing to commit to at least fortnightly visits for a minimum of 12 months.

Good English communication skills required however volunteers with other languages willing to be matched to the same language are very welcome to apply.
