Come bird watching with us in Western Sydney!

Bartolo Nature Reserve, located in the wild suburb of Agnes Banks, is a critical 'Green Corridor' for native wildlife. The Reserve provides important habitat for species such as the Eastern Grey Kangaroo and Bearded Dragons to move about, and to find food and shelter. Even more importantly, Bartolo Nature Reserve is remnant of critically endangered Cumberland Plain Woodland and is home to several threatened species.

Join with locals and our experienced ecologists for a few hours to participate in a session of bird watching. Your efforts will help us to understand what types of species are present on our worksite and allow us to assess how effective our restoration work has been.

You may even get to spot the resident mob of kangaroos that live on the site or a very endangered species of snail! Who knows what you'll find when you volunteer with us?!

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER:

  • Make sure you book your spot online. Spaces are limited, and they do fill up!
  • We offer a free pick and drop off at Penrith Station for this project.
  • No previous experience is required. We will provide you with all the know-how on site!
  • We can provide you with a certificate of appreciation for coming along and helping out (this looks great on a resume!)
You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
