Programs Administration Assistant Volunteer

• Are you looking to gain experience in community program delivery admin? • Would you like to be a part of a passionate team of staff and volunteers?

Outline of the role: Cancer Council NSW is a community funded, community focused cancer charity dedicated to working towards a cancer free future. There are things that we can all do every day to help make this happen.

Supporting the Community Programs Coordinators in the Northern team and based at Coffs Harbour, your key accountabilities will include: • Supporting the delivery of programs such as Transport to Treatment, Cancer Council Information Service, Tackling Tabacco, Advocacy, Healthy Sports Initiative and Improve Your Long Game • Maintaining and expanding professional relationships with local stakeholders • Working closely within the local community • Database entry • Answering and responding to telephone enquiries • Helping staff prepare documents and assisting the events team with administration tasks in the lead up to events, meetings and training days.

Our ideal volunteer will have: • A confident phone manner and excellent communication skills • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Strong attention to detail and time management skills • Competence in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and Outlook • A fun and positive personality • Commitment to the cancer cause and the mission of Cancer Council NSW • An interest in public health services and the not for profit sector

Desirable (but not essential) • Previous experience in administration would be an advantage
