Line Dance Instructor - QLD Women's Camp - Brookfield

The Women’s Camp provides women with a happy, caring and pleasant environment through fellowship, indoor and outdoor activities, meals and teaching. The Line Dance Instructor teaches planned routines to a group, whilst ensuring a supportive and encouraging environment.  We are looking for an engaging and positive person with line dance experience to run two sessions at our QLD Women's Camp in the hope that the group could perform one dance item at our "Variety Night Concert" on Wednesday 28 August 2019 from 7:00pm - dinner provided if required.   This is a short term role however there could be a similar role at our camps in the future.

Key activities in facilitating Line Dancing Sessions for Participants

  • Choreograph a Line Dance routine for attendees to learn and perform at the concert·
  • Register attendees, sign in and out·
  • Teach prepared Line Dance routine·
  • Look after the welfare of attendees attending the sessions by giving clear instructions·
  • Set up rooms and pack up on completion
  • Operate audio/ visual equipment as required
  • Welcome attendees and help create a friendly and fun environment·
  • Encourage participation and provide a fun environment
  • Reconcile any concerns that attendees may have
  • Monitor and rectify any health, safety and welfare issues

Qualifications & Experience Requirements For The Role

  • Line Dance experience mandatory
  • Experience teaching and directing Line Dancing routines required

Integrity checks and completion of The Salvation Army's volunteer and registration will be a requirement of the role.
