Katie Rose Cottage is a hospice for the terminally ill. A place where people will be given professional nursing care by our RN team, lovingly supported by our volunteer personal care and general care teams. The cottage hospice is based on a ‘one step from home’ model. It is intimate, comfortable and welcoming, not only for our guests but also for their families and friends. This role includes a range of important tasks including attending to the hospitality at the hospice, greeting guests and family members, offering a companion role to our guests, providing food, maintaining the environment and cleaning/housekeeping tasks. Companionship might include reading, watching movies, reminiscing, going out in the garden or being a silent presence.
You will require an ability to be flexible within the requirements of this role and offer a relationship of curiosity, sensitivity and comfort.
