The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Epworth Healthcare.

Join this major Health Care provider as a volunteer concierge, greeting patients and visitors attending their facilities.  If you have customer service skills and are available Monday - Friday, either morning or afternoon we'd love to hear from you.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Be visible and accessible to patients and visitors to Epworth HealthCare
• Greet patients and visitors as they enter our facilities
• Direct/escorting patient and visitors to health services, wards and other sites within the hospital
• Provide information about wards, facilities, toilets and daily site changes
• Provide parking information and ticket machine advice
• Refer visitors to main reception with patient and other enquiries
• Wheelchair assistance where required – only if trained to do so
• Be knowledgeable about Epworth HealthCare history and services
• Contact appropriate management member with any issues or concerns

Skills and Experience:

• A confident customer service ethos and attitude
• Able to work with patients and visitors from diverse backgrounds
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Ability to show initiative and to work with minimal supervision
• Sound verbal and written English communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of the requirement to adhere to confidentiality
• Physically able to walk for the majority of each shift
