Duties:
- Management of office duties such as expenses report and administration tasks - Provide training, supervision and mentoring to teachers in the use of Sun Books and its software - Keep track of Sun Books progress - Lead the monitoring and evaluation process - Seek out for new partner schools and potential collaborations - Gather images and assist Marketing Team - Support and assist the Program Manager, and other staff
Skills, qualifications & experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education or related discipline - Knowledge and understanding of inclusive education in the Ugandan context are an added advantage - Good experience in designing and implementing a capacity building program - Facilitation, training and mentoring skills - Computer literacy, Microsoft Words, Excel, email and Internet - Excellent oral and written English language skills - Excellent organisational and time management skills - Ability to interact skilfully with diverse groups of people - Ability to work effectively with stakeholders and partners in governmental and non-governmental organizations and local communities in carrying out project objectives - Ability to be resilient and adaptive to new situations
As a volunteer, you will be sharing your skills with local communities on a full-time basis. The World Literacy Foundation will provide a monthly allowance to help cover some of your costs for vaccinations, accommodation, transport, living expense and travel insurance. We will provide a return air ticket from Australia to Uganda.
