The Women's Court Support Service (WCSS) is a domestic violence support service originally set up as a joint project by the NSW Women's Refuge Movement and Sydney Family Court over 10 years ago. The government has decided not to renew its funding, so we are now operating it with a roster of volunteers while we campaign for its continuation. A background in social work or equivalent and/or experience working with domestic violence victims would be beneficial. This is not a legal service and volunteers are not providing advice in relation to the operation of the law but must observe strict confidentiality.
