About the Organisation

The UNAA Young Professionals (YP) network involves and inspires young professionals throughout Australia in international affairs and the work of the United Nations around the world, through fundraising, awareness-raising and advocacy campaigns. The YP brings together a diverse mix of young professionals from business, law, government, the arts and philanthropy that are mainly between the ages of 25 to 35 years.

About the Role

The Membership Coordinator is responsible for developing the membership base and expanding the reach and impact of the UNAA Young Professionals Committee in Victoria. This role includes responsibility for monitoring and increasing membership numbers and assessing and advocating for the needs and interests of members.

Accountabilities

  • Liaise with UNAA Vic office regarding UNAA Young Professionals numbers from time to time;
  • Develop strategies to increase UNAA Young Professionals broader membership in Victoria;
  • Work closely with the Partnerships lead to establish relationships with businesses to increase the UNAA Young Professional membership base;
  • Conduct surveys to consider the needs and interests of UNAA Young Professionals in Victoria and report the findings back to the committee; and
  • Analyse information from UNAA YP events, including attendance levels and other relevant data about attendees.

Selection criteria

  • Preferably a Young Professional (between the ages of 25 and 35);
  • An interest in the United Nations and International Affairs;
  • Experience or ideas with membership/recruitment drives
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organisational skills;
  • Enthusiasm for the aims, goals and ideals of the UNAA;
  • Analytical thinking and data analysis skills; and
  • Demonstration of Team work.
