LifeCircle is a national social enterprise whose purpose is to change the way Australians experience the last stages of life. We are working with caregivers, clinicians and shared value partners to bridge the gap between the hopes and aspirations of Australians at the end of life and the current reality.

Via our digital platform caregivers are able to access information and speak 1x1 with a LifeCircle Guide who has lived the experience of caring for a loved one through the last stages of life. With LifeCircle’s support, caregivers can become better informed and prepared, more open and more resilient. As a result, they can regain confidence and more control in the decision making process. This enables people to make the most of their time together and empowers caregivers to help their loved one die well.

We are now recruiting LifeCircle Guides from all ages and backgrounds to reflect the diversity of caregivers in the community. If you have cared for a loved one through the last stages of life, and are ready to convert your loss and lived experience into a meaningful role, we invite you to become a LifeCircle Guide.

LifeCircle Guides are selected on the basis of their:

• Personal attributes and character.
• Lived experience of caring for someone through the last stages of life.
• Willingness, readiness and ability to support others through the same experience.

Each LifeCircle Guide receives:

• In-depth training and a dedicated i-pad to undertake the work flexibly from their own home (reliable wifi is required).
• Regular online supervision to debrief current cases and practice with a supportive peer group.
• An invitation to attend LIfeCircle’s annual Guide Symposium in March each year to build capability and deepen connection with the LifeCircle Guide community.
• A meaningful opportunity to support LifeCircle’s purpose and contribute to the community.

Each LifeCircle Guide agrees to:

• Volunteer 4 hours each week to provide 1x1 support to caregivers and to participate in online supervision, peer support and ongoing training.
• Attend a 2-day in-person training weekend in Sydney on the 26th and 27th October.
• Provide a current Police Check Certificate (or WWVP card in the ACT).
• Understand, support and adhere to LifeCircle policies as detailed in the Memorandum of Understanding.
