Outline of the role: Cancer Council NSW is a community funded, community focused cancer charity dedicated to working towards a cancer free future. There are things that we can all do every day to help make this happen.

Supporting the Greater Western Sydney Team and based at Parramatta, your key accountabilities will include: • Assist with event entertainment preparations and logistics • Contact entertainment groups to confirm attendance and event requirements • Maintain good relationships with ongoing entertainment providers • Create and update entertainment run sheet for the event • Coordinate entertainment at the event ensuring smooth running entertainment throughout the event • Work cooperatively with a team of volunteers and Cancer Council staff • Assist with administration duties as required

Our ideal volunteer will have: • Confident using the phone with a polite manner • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong time management skills • Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel • An interest in events and the not-for-profit sector • A fun and positive personality • Commitment to the cancer cause and the mission of Cancer Council NSW

Desirable (but not essential) • Previous events experience • Previous exposure to the not-for-profit industry or working with volunteers
