Queensland Braille Writing Association (Braille House) is a not-for-profit organisation staffed primarily by volunteers specialising in tactual literacy. Braille House provides Braille and Moon tuition and reading materials to empower people who are blind or who have low vision to live with dignity and independence.
The Library Assistant position exists to manage and develop an innovative and contemporary Braille and Moon Library to meet our diverse existing and future clients.
The Librarian’s roles and responsibilities focus around (but are not limited to) the following areas:
• High quality Library services that are responsive to current and future needs of clients; • Facilitate relationships with clients and stakeholders to provide relevant services, programs and collections; • Develop and nurture partnerships with relevant people and organisations to the betterment of the Library, its programs and collections, as well as its clients.
