The Shepherd CentreAbout us The Shepherd Centre is a world-leading charity providing services to children who are deaf or have a hearing loss, to enable them to develop spoken language and go on to achieve their potential in life. Children completing our early intervention program typically have the same spoken language as children with typical hearing and go on to enter mainstream schools.
About the volunteer opportunity
- Create a warm, welcoming and friendly reception environment for all families, visitors and guests
- Receive and direct incoming calls, enquiries and deliveries
- Work with the wider team by liaising with them about enquiries and appointments
Volunteering with The Shepherd Centre
- You will have an opportunity to be part of our family friendly yet professional work environment
- Help us support families and the work we do by providing reception cover support
- It is not a highly busy reception, especially on Thursday and Friday's, nor do we have a large complicated switchboard
- The ideal volunteer will have some previous admin experience, strong customer service and communication skills
- The volunteer will have a reception manual to refer to and a supportive administrative team on stand by
