    You will be required to undergo a police check and have, or be willing to obtain, a working with vulnerable people card. There is also on-site security awareness training course that will be organised for you as part of the induction process. This is a necessity in order to gain access to the correctional facility.

This program operates 5 days per week, from Wednesday to Sunday 8:00am-7:00pm. Volunteers work with a qualified and experienced child care provider to provide activities to children visiting family at the Alexander Maconochie Center.

Volunteers are involved in the organisation of games and activities for the children to access during a prison visit, eg: arts and crafts, board and card games, books, construction, etc. This position does not require any supervision of the children with inmates.
