Executive Committee Member
South Perth Learning Centre IncThe role of the Executive Committee is to implement the centre’s fiduciary, strategic, and generative plans, policies, and decisions consistent with the centre’s vision, mission and guiding principles. The Executive Committee supports the Centre Manager and engages in decision making in executive committee meetings or in urgent and crisis circumstances.
General Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing the 5 year strategic plan and assessing long term goals
- Ensuring the mission of the centre is adhered to
- Assisting with finalising and approving budgets and allocating funds
- Taking responsibility for the centre's financial records
- Evaluating programs and services
- Evaluating executive committee members
- Appointing new executive committee members
- Taking responsibility for all legal matters
- Taking responsibility for compliance with regulatory requirements (ie. annual general meetings, annual returns, audits, etc)
- Appoint auditors and approving the audit of the financial records
- Creating and managing sub-committees
- Maintaining and building the centre's profile
Additional information: • This is a voluntary position • Terms are for two years with an option to nominate for a further two years • Executive Committee meetings occur on a monthly basis on Wednesdays at 4pm, however, this can be adjusted to suit our committee member's schedules. • Meetings are held at the South Perth Learning Centre
