The Catering Mentor supports trainees from culturally, religiously and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and assists the Catering Lead to develop a social enterprise catering business. The role will involve liaising with the Catering Lead, supporting the trainees in their training, which involves appropriate menu development, pricing, preparation for catering jobs, as well as supporting the team in the kitchen.

Duties

• Adhere to the Volunteer Code of Conduct
• Support trainees to develop menus  at market standard
• Support trainees in developing skills for food preparation, cooking and presentation
• Support trainees and Catering Lead at catering jobs and events
• Support the Catering Lead in facilitating workshops with trainees
• Support trainees in food and beverage service
• Participate in regular debrief and evaluation sessions
• Complete all reporting requirements
• Dress code is neat casual and culturally appropriate
