Multiple Sclerosis is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program - the Community Visiting Scheme (CVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game.  Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or in their own home through ongoing friendship.

We have two CANTONESE speaking Gentlemen in an Aged Care Facility in Footscray who would enjoy the company of a Cantonese speaking new friend to share conversation with and read the newspaper together.

You need to be warm, caring. reliable and be willing to commit to at least fortnightly visits for a minimum of 12 months.

Good Cantonese language skills are required for this opportunity.  Other volunteers with other languages willing to be matched to same language recipients are welcome to join the program.
