On station training is every Wednesday @1800hrs (we can work around work commitments, shifts and other commitments). We are all volunteers we do what we can when we can.

On station training every Wednesday @1800hrs DFES training courses are run all year at the Forrestfield Training Centre you will be offered accommodation for the weekend and you receive a fuel rebate.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks: Becoming a volunteer firefighter requires training, hard work, working well in a team environment and dedication to the community. Smaller communities and towns rely on volunteer firefighters.
Benefits: While the level of involvement for volunteers varies, you may get the chance to help in diverse situations, including fires, accident response and rescues. Visiting local schools, day cares, playgroups and providing fire education to the community.
Due to the emergency services nature of this role, you will need to live and/or work in close proximity to the Gingin VFRS brigade.
