About the role

Key duties:

• Put together blurbs and photos to market events on a range of platforms (website, social media, local event sites, etc)
• Manage ticket sales
• Respond to questions about events
• (Optional: help to organise and run events)

Skills and experience needed:

• Great computer skills
• Experience managing social media accounts
• Event coordination experience (preferred)

About us

Green Connect is a not-for-profit social enterprise based in Wollongong, NSW. We create jobs and employment pathways for people experiencing barriers to employment, particularly young people and former refugees, in work that helps the planet and the community.

We do four things:

• Grow chemical-free food at our world-leading permaculture farm in Warrawong
• Help businesses, events and schools to be more sustainable, through our zero waste services
• Run a great op shop in Bellambi to put things to good use
• Offer recruitment and labour hire services to connect staff to new opportunities

We have started running events at our farm and op shop and would love to have a regular volunteer who can help us to market those events, and possibly even coordinate some.
