The Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre Community Visiting Program provide one to one companionship and friendship to seniors who live in their own homes and either experience or are at risk of becoming socially isolated.

Clients and volunteers may participate in a variety of activities during home visits such as reading, playing board games and other agreed upon activities.

Volunteers provide weekly or fortnightly visits for approximately 1 hour and need to be able to commit for at least 6 months.

Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre is currently seeking a volunteer who speaks Mandarin to visit a socially isolated elderly lady who resides in Noble Park.

A clear National Police Check is required and will be processed by Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre free of charge to the volunteer. This program is funded by the Australian Government through the Community Visitors Scheme
