Do you speak Hungarian Do you have an hour a week or fortnight to spare? If so, we need YOU.

Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre is a not for profit organisation that provides a range of community based services for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in the Southern Region of Melbourne.

The Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre Friendly Visiting Programs provide one to one companionship and friendship to seniors who live in their own homes and either experience or are at risk of becoming socially isolated. Clients and volunteers may participate in a variety of activities during home visits such as reading, playing board games and other agreed upon activities. Volunteers provide weekly or fortnightly visits and need to be able to commit for at least 6 months.

Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre is currently seeking a volunteer who is able to speak Hungarian to visit an elderly female in Noble Park to provide companionship for 1 hour per week.

A clear National Police Check is required and will be processed by Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre free of charge to the volunteer. Please include a contact number with your expression of Interest.
