The problem needing to be solved

The problem needing to be solved is that charities need to be more democratic and provide effective relevant services efficiently. I am developing a world-first governance system for my charity Urabba Parks, which which will hopefully be adopted by many more organisations. The new governance model incorporates member-operated associations focused on specific projects and operations, supported by a government-like board separated into a legislature, executive and judiciary which takes care of compliance, service delivery support, binding dispute resolution and disciplinary procedures and fundraising management. There are many things which need to be done for this new governance system but the most important thing is to ensure the Constitution helps charities need to be more democratic and provide effective relevant services efficiently.

Responsibilities of the online volunteering project

I aim to adopt the Constitution for Urabba Parks and use it as a model to spread the concept further. Specifically this requires the Constitution to be:

  • enforceable
  • readable
  • precise
  • succinct
  • full of goodies (like independent governance officers and the like)

While these objectives are competing, writing legislation requires the evaluation of these objectives with the end result of producing something that has the effect intended by those who pass it.

The benefit to you, the volunteer

There is an acknowledgement page on the Constitution publication which has some space left after acknowledging country.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
