You are not a driving instructor. Our volunteers are matched with learners and provide free weekly driving sessions in a fully maintained and insured Uniting vehicle. All you need is to be able to provide a couple of hours a week of your time (or indeed more if you can) to sit with and support learners to complete their 120 practice hours and then sit their provisional driving test.

All you need is a full licence and a couple of hours (or more) a week. We provide a fully insured automatic vehicle, training and practical on-going support for you the mentor. We require a Working With Children Check, a Criminal History check and a Driver History report. Uniting cover the cost of the driver history check. Other checks do not incur a fee.
