Social Media Team Volunteer (Various Roles)

We have created new social media pages, which are dedicated to highlighting all the incredible and impactful work of Red Cross People in a warm, genuine and accessible way and offering an online community to our volunteers, members and staff in Victoria. We’re excited to engage with new audiences online and help drive people towards participating in voluntary action.

  • Ongoing 1-2 days a week | 4-6 hours per shift
  • Flexible days Monday-Thursday

The program

The new and exciting communications and social media team, within the Community Mobilisation Hub, will design, develop, and implement a state wide social media strategy to engage more people in humanitarian action.

The opportunity

Gain valuable experience in social media management, help design and drive Red Cross Victoria's social media brand & generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content (e.g. original text, photos, videos, animations, info-graphics and memes).

The impact

The social media team will work with an advisor to build a vibrant social media presence, engage our existing communities online, generate new audiences and drive participation. This team is going to be growing a social media brand based on the humanitarian work of our volunteers and members.
