Volunteer Receptionist

Mater Volunteers

Mater Volunteers is seeking a reliable volunteer Receptionist to join the Volunteer Services team. This role contributes to the effective day to day running of the Mater Volunteers service.

The available shifts are 12pm – 4pm on Tuesdays. Applicants must be able to commit to one of these shifts weekly for a minimum period of 6 months.

Working directly with Mater Volunteers staff and volunteers you will be a people person with good administrative skills.

You will: • Greet volunteers, visitors and staff in a friendly and helpful manner. • Answer all email and telephone enquiries in a timely and professional manner. • Assist with computer tasks such as Volunteer Patient Transport bookings and data entry. • Maintain a well-organized work area, monitor uniform and parking ticket stocks. • Assist with other administration tasks as outlined in the role guidelines

Skills and Experience required: • Able to communicate clearly with people from all walks of life • Good organisational skills including attention to detail and ability to prioritise • Moderate computer skills including Microsoft Office Word & Excel • Customer service experience • Ability to remain calm and problem solve under pressure • Ability to integrate within a busy and friendly team environment
