Volunteer mini-bus driver with HammondCare aged care home Miranda

HammondCare Australia
Logo for HammondCare Australia

With your assistance as a mini-bus driver, elderly residents living with dementia will enjoy short outings as you drive them on short local trips for 1-2 hours. You will be accompanied by one of our care staff who will look after the residents care needs.

As the bus is a 10 seater, anyone with a current Australian C class drivers license and five years good driving history can volunteer. We will provide training on driving the bus as well as orientation and ongoing support from an on-site volunteer coordinator.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, specialising in dementia and aged care. We are passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of our residents. HammondCare is located at 19 Kiama St, Miranda.

Role requirements Ideally you'll be available weekly for 6-12 months for two hours. You'll be required to show proof of your current drivers license and complete a national police check which we'll organise and pay for, along with NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Register your interest When you submit your enquiry, please include details on why you're interested in volunteering.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
