Tutor Volunteer Berwick Secondary College - Refugee Education Support Program
Southern Migrant & Refugee Centre(SMRC)The purpose of the Refugee Education Support Program (RESP) is to establish a learning support club to reduce barriers to homework completion, in a safe and welcoming place for students from diverse cultural backgrounds. The program is funded by the Department of Education and Training.
Tutor Volunteers to provide English and Maths support to secondary students during the learning support club allocated time being Mondays from 3.15 pm to 4.45 pm. The aim of the program is to support and encourage young people to complete their homework within a safe and caring environment.
The Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY), in partnership with the Berwick Secondary College and the Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre (SMRC), will deliver the Refugee Education Support Program (RESP) learning support club to school communities in Victoria with refugee background and other disadvantaged young people in the local area.
The learning support club will be held every Monday at Berwick College from 3.15 pm to 4.30 pm.
