The Playgroup Volunteer will provide assistance and support to the Playgroup Facilitator and the Children & Parents Programs (CAPP) team with promoting and supporting the CAPP across the organization and within the community.

The Playgroup Volunteer will be supervised and all work produced is signed off by the Playgroup Facilitator and / or the CAPP Coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Helping the CAPP team with running the Playgroup activities, including:

Helping to setup and pack up the Playgroup room / venue

Helping to prepare and serve the Playgroup morning tea

Assisting families to complete the registration and attendance form

Collect donations

Assist with other tasks as requested by the supervisor from time to time

Volunteer Shifts:

This role has flexibility in timing, during school terms. We would be pleased if the volunteer attends MDSI Playgroup one day a week for 12 months. The Volunteer and MDSI will then review the volunteer role based on the needs of MDSI and the capacity of the Volunteer to assist on an ongoing basis.

Current shifts are Mondays or Fridays, 9:30am - 12:30pm.

Location:

Various locations in Campbelltown depending on the which Playgroup day. The Volunteer is responsible for arranging their own transport to and from the venue.
