Volunteer manual and Support of a Team Leader on site

A fantastic opportunity to meet new people and have some fun, while giving back to the community by helping to raise funds and awareness for the Children’s Medical Research Institute to support research into birth defects and genetic disorders.

What is Jeans for Genes Day?

1 in 20 kids are born with a genetic disease or birth defect. You likely know and care about someone affected. Jeans for Genes Day will be on Friday 2nd August 2019. Every year, hundreds of wonderful volunteers join us to hit the streets, shopping centres and train stations across the country to help raise vital funds for research that will improve lives by finding cures for children’s genetic diseases.

How can I make a difference?

Join the team as a volunteer or Location Leader selling Jeans for Genes Day merchandise, collecting donations and raising awareness in the community. Each volunteer shift is between 2 - 4 hours long (early morning, morning or afternoon) in a location of your choice and anyone of any age can get involved.

Where do we need volunteers?

Adelaide Central Markets, Adelaide Train Station, Adelaide CBD streets

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong communicator and happy interacting with the public
