CatholicCare's services help people to live and thrive at every age, irrespective of beliefs and abilities. Our Alternate Education Program is one example of this. The program is designed to provide learning support to young people aged 16-25 years who have become disengaged from mainstream learning environments.

We are currently seeking volunteers who are available on Mondays for 4-5hrs to assist staff with the delivery of program workshops, offering guidance to students and providing support with study skills.

By volunteering your time you will contribute to enhancing the social skills of program participants, as well as helping them to achieve learning outcomes that will give them the confidence to pursue future activities.

Ideally, you will:

• Value Education
• Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Be confident presenting in a group setting
• Have some previous relevant experience (e.g. a retired teacher or student currently studying Social Work, Youth Work, Education or similar)
• Want to make a positive difference in the lives of young people
• Be available on Mondays
