COVID has had a profound effect on many of us, but none more than our older community. To help combat isolation and the challenges it brings, St John Qld offers a personalised service that promotes friendship and connection. Our Community Visitors Scheme offers a pathway for companionship, laughter and friendship by inviting volunteers to visit an older person in their community, whether they live alone or in residential care. With regular visits, our diverse team of volunteers are able to build wonderful lifelong connections, in a comfortable and safe space where a special bond can grow. Please note this service can only be provided on Monday to Friday and between the hours of 9am - 4.30pm.
