In July 2013, Lily was diagnosed with an extremely rare liver cancer. Lily endured over 6 months of chemotherapy, 6 operations, radiation amongst other tests, scans and many, many hospital visits. In January 2014, Lily did go into remission, however after another scan in March 2014 her family were told the most devastating news of their lives – the beautiful Lily was terminally ill. Lily fought hard, was brave and an inspiration to us all, each and every day – she still is. The Butterfly Ball is a fundraising night event in honour of Lily.

In June last year, 600 people came together at Crown Melbourne to help cure childhood cancer. Our 2018 Butterfly Ball was an unforgettable night, and we are so proud to have raised over $150,000 to fund research and raise awareness.

This year we are hoping to beat this record with the help of our volunteers! We are looking for 20 keen individuals to volunteer as table hosts and directional assistant. You might be allocated a table and sell raffle tickets to your table and help them bid on silent and live auction items.

• **Shift Time: 4:30pm until 11:00 or 11:30pm**
• Where: Crown Melbourne

We are looking for volunteers who:

• 18+ years old (may involve alcohol handling, having RSA preferred but not essential)
• Have excellent customer service and hospitality skills
• Have excellent communication skill
• Are committed to our vision to save the lives of all children with cancer and eliminate their suffering
• Are reliable and invested in supporting us at this event
• Have an interest in large scale events
• Have Eftpos experience and knowledge
• Exhibit flexibility to assist with ad hoc tasks on the day
• Love to meet new people and collaborate as a team
• Know how to have fun
