HammondCare Australia
Logo for HammondCare Australia

As a HammondCare digital photo clip maker volunteer in the Northern Beaches area, your entry level photo editing skills will allow people who are receiving palliative care to record their stories, memories, and messages for loved ones. During the 'Just a Moment' program, volunteer interviewers will capture the memories of favourite photographs and provide you with the audio and photographs. Your volunteer role will be to edit the content into a short movie clip, add music and provide the patient with a completed video clip (max 5 minutes).

Ideally, you'll already have the following skills

  • Previous experience of creating short edited clips using Android apps/technologies
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve
  • Willingness to be flexible, patient and understanding
  • Availability for a long term commitment and up-to 3 hours per week (Monday-Friday). The editing process can occur in the evenings, and we are seeking people who currently live on the Northern Beaches.

Successful applicants will be required to complete a national police check which HammondCare will organise and pay for.

Why HammondCare? Volunteering at HammondCare is a great experience for you, and a great way to make a difference for people in need. You’ll find that as you meet new people, you’ll gain personal satisfaction and have fun.

When you submit your application form, please include details on why you're interested in volunteering.
