The purpose of this role is to support women entrepreneurs of multicultural backgrounds in the development and guidance on developing their own businesses.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supporting and engaging with one or more Sisters at the Business Labs
• Identifying their needs and goals and supporting them in developing strategies towards achieving these goals
• Monitoring, encouraging and supporting them in building on their skills, self confidence, and self-reliance
• Fostering our value of ‘Learning by doing’
• Sharing knowledge of the Australian business environment
• Documenting and reporting on needs and progress towards establishing a small business practice
• Managing micro-loans with the Sisters
• Being the primary contact person for that Sister

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of SisterWorks Inc.
• Cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Resourcefulness, and the ability to think laterally and creatively
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
