Progress 2019 - Event Volunteers
Centre for Australian ProgressWe Need You! To Help With:
- Stage and event set-up
- AV and technical support
- Photography
- Registration: welcoming guests and speakers
- Ushering: providing directions, information and ensuring guest well-being at the event
- Social media: help generate buzz outside the walls of Melbourne Town Hall through live social media updates throughout the day
- Looking after the welfare of other volunteers
You will be working closely with the Centre for Australian Progress team.

Key Information:
- Progress 2019 will be held across multiple venues in the Melbourne CBD on June 20-21 2019.
- Volunteers are required from June 20-21, with preference given to those who are available during the whole period.
- Volunteers will need to attend a safety induction and team briefing prior to the event.(Virtual attendance at the team briefing can be organised for interstate volunteers only.)
- Volunteers must be 18 years or older.
- You must be either based in Melbourne, or willing to fund your travel/accommodation to make it to the event.
- Various roles are available, depending on your skills and interests
Who you are:
- Passionate about social change
- May have past experience volunteering/working at events (preferred, but not critical)
- Experienced in any or all of the following areas: Social media, marketing, or communication; Registration/customer service; Ushering; Stage management; Event set-up, manual labour; Photography; AV/technical support; Leadership or management positions
