The role deals with the administrative management of the Tasmanian Trail. You will be volunteering collaboratively with an enthusiastic team of volunteers within the Tasmanian Trail Association to ensure the successful running of the Association's activities. You would be encouraged to join in with activities and become familiar with the Trail and the management practices and policies.

It would be advantageous for applicants to hold:

Relevant experience in secretarial duties Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong leadership skills The Secretary works to the Executive Officer and attends committee meetings which are held approximately four times per annum at various locations along the Trail. Duties are at spasmodice times and more prevalent around the meeting times, averaging a few hours a week. Initiative will be valued.

The Tasmanian Trail's existence today is the result of a dynamic partnership between volunteer groups, private landowners, public agencies and the State and Federal Governments and is a growing, living thing. Its ongoing life depends on the care provided by volunteers and on the extent to which their support can be kept alive in workable management partnerships.
